Most of us are on it every day, but what is social media actually? Social media takes apart in the internet which is just a jumbled mess of networks. Social media consists of apps and websites all built on an electronic device whether a computer or a phone. Now social media makes it easy to communicate and be able to talk to others anywhere with a mobile connection. Also, it gives out new job roles and you can create accounts on sites to further put your life all over the internet. Special Education Teacher For Extended School Year

What is it like to be a Special Education Teacher for Extended School Year? I learned during my field observation that being a special education teacher for Gwinnett County Public School (GCPS) opens the door to many opportunities, one of which is the availability to work as a teacher for Extended School Year (ESY). I also learned in order for students to be eligible for ESY services, they must have an IEP, be in a self-contained classroom during the regular school year, and have data to support significant growth/gains made on their individual goals and objectives. In addition, the student has displayed regression when returning from a break. There are limited sites for ESY at the elementary level, as a result ESY is a competitive data based program for both students and teachers. The site I visited was Chattahoochee Elementary School in Duluth, Ga, there I had the opportunity to shadow a teacher in the Moderate/ASD program. Chattahoochee ES is an older, red brick building with a newer addition added to the top of the school. The wing where ESY is held was part of the new addition. It had tile floors, an exterior office, and six classrooms. Two of the six rooms are used as alert and calming areas, within these rooms there was adapted equipment, like a squeeze machine, listening station, and a trampoline. The classroom was divided into sections/areas, using gray partitions and study carols. Within these sections was a play area, individual task area, and reading area. Gothic and Arabic influences Essay Antoni Gaudi, a Spanish religious fanatic, is a world-renowned architect, despite the fact he worked on only twenty major projects in his lifetime. Gaudi was born 150 years ago. At the time he was not well thought of by other architects. Gaudi knew how to create distinctive architectural pieces without artistic or technical prejudice. He brought back the importance of quality in architecture and always meticulously considered the tastes, materials, procedures, styles etc. when he was designing. Gaudi received the official title of architect at Barcelonas Escuela Technica Superion de Arguitectura. His first projects included neo-gothic and Arabic influences. During his later years he reached a point in his career where he did many experiments, and in effect turned his workshop into a laboratory. He searched for resistant materials, for exampkle, granite, basalt, porphyry, etc. He also used mirrors and photography in his designs. His new and original ideas surprised many and few people understood it, but it resulted in fantastic and imporessive designs such as the Crypt of the Coloma Guell, the Pedrera, Park Guell, and the Temple of the Sagrada Familia. Francesc Pujols, a popular philosopher of the time, and a friend of Gaudi, stated that, In all the works of the great Gaudi, what happened was that no one liked them, nor was there anyone who dared to say it to his face, because he had a style that asserted itself without pleasing. Gaudi was often critisised for his work on the Sagrada Familia, because he took such a time with it. It is still being completed today, 72 years after his death. This obsessive attention to detail and perfection annoyed those wanting to see the Sagrada Familia completed. The Sagrada Familia was for the congregation of Saint Joseph, and initially designed in a neo-gothic style by architect Francisco de Paula del Villar. The building was started in 1882, the first stone put in place on 19th March-the day of Saint Joseph. Villar resigned a year later, after arguments with the committee, whose director Joan Martorell Montells recommended that Gaudi, aged 31 at the time, take over charge of the construction. Unlike Villars neo-gothic project, Gaudi imagined a church with many technical innovations, with a Latin cross superimposed over the initial crypt. Above it, the main altar was dedicated to Passion, and the Birth, and the principle fai ade to Glory. Above each fai ade, were 12 towers of 4 designs, representing the apostles, and a central one symbolising Christ, around which 4 more are dedicated to the evangelists and one the virgin. When Gaudi died after being run over by a tram, he was buried in the crypt where he had spent the last years of his life. The construction of the Sagrada Familia continues due to donations from people all around the world wanting to see the impressive temple in completion. The Colonia Guell is one of Goudas most original and interesting works, and this project also remains incompleted. Construction began in 1908, but when Count Guell died in 1914, the project was abandoned. The assignment was to create a housing development for a small settlement of workers next to Susebi Guells Textile factory in Santa Coloma de Cervello, which is 20km from Barcelona. An inspired Gaudi designed a complex settlement with constant references to nature. Gaudis plan was to use organic forms and a studied polychrome so that the dark tones of the trees and transformed into blue and white in order to blend with the sky and clouds. For Gaudi, this special chromatic plan represented nature and also symbolized at a deeper level the path of the Christian life.
